Pouring before the inspection

If the bearing was wrong, you find out by digging it up. Inspection before pour is non-negotiable.

Ignoring trees

A foundation depth that ignores the tree on the boundary will fail later. The tree did not vanish because the design did.

No record of bearing depth

If nobody photographed or recorded the actual depth and bearing, you cannot prove the foundation was built to the design.

Skipping the build-over

Pouring concrete across a public sewer without a build-over agreement is not a Building Control issue alone — it is also a water authority enforcement issue.
